Exploring Pen & Ink Technique Melissa Lancaster |
| |||||
Students will learn how to create work without using the typical line and shading techniques used with pencil or paint. The limitation of black and white medium will push them to explore other methods of creating the illusion of value. They will create edges, volume, texture, depth, tone, rhythm, etc . . . with hatching, scumbling, stippling and watercolor techniques. The "palette" will be a series of marks rather than tones and hues of colors. |
