This class will be geared toward producing student films to screen at this year’s SXSW festival. The class will consist of the 5 art workshop periods plus 3 additional Saturday classes hosted at the Austin School of Film. Normally the registration fee for this class at ASoF is $375 per student, but is free to you, special Griffin student. The Avant Garde/Experimental Filmmaking Course is a comprehensive introduction to the history and evolution of experimental film as well as a guide to basic filmmaking.
