The Griffin School is raising $2.1 million to further Griffin as a center for academic excellence, fine arts education, and community engagement.

With the generosity, leadership and hard work of the Griffin Community, we have been fortunate to raise the first $1 million to purchase and renovate a new, permanent facility for the start of the 2011-2012 school year. We are now seeking the remaining $1.1 million to fund the construction of an addition to the new facility, enabling us to grow our current programs, expand our student body, and offer greater opportunities for community involvement in creative learning.

Since 1996, The Griffin School has provided an excellent classical liberal arts curriculum in a diverse, progressive, artistic, and personalized high-school environment. We've had an extraordinarily meaningful and positive impact on the lives of our students and families over the last 15 years. Our bright, creative students consistently thrive in college and become engaged and fulfilled adults in their communities.

Raising $2.1 million and completing the expansion into the new campus will enable Griffin to:

  • Secure the school's permanence in the Austin community, and allow us to be a resource for people of all ages and backgrounds who seek a creative outlet for their individuality and a sense of belonging in an inclusive community.
  • Provide us with the space to grow and develop programs for our unique student body.
  • Create Studio Griffin, a brand new art facility that will provide after-school and summer programs for middle and high school students, and art classes for adults.
Purchasing and renovating our own facility for the school ensures that the values embedded in our school environment will be available to current and future generations of Griffin students and the wider community. It also assures that the work that we are doing is clearly visible as a model for education reform in this community and beyond. We need your participation in this profound effort to create a school system that is personalized - not standardized - and that maintains high academic standards while also respecting the individuality of each student.

Thank you for your support of the Griffin School Capital Campaign. We can't do this without you!
